Six OMS Students and Faculty race in Vermont 50

On Sunday September 30th two OMS students and four members of the OMS faculty competed and completed all fifty miles of the Vermont 50 Mountain Bike Race. Myles Trainer '11, Tanner Mottau '12, freestyle coaches Mike Bruno and Chris Marks, alpine coach Joe Sampson and Buisness Manager Pam Trainer all completed the race. The Vermont 50 is a bike race that benefits and is hosted by Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. This annual race is a classic for both local Vermonters and New England endurance enthusiasts alike. Every year over six hundred bikers and runners sign up six months in advance to compete in this late September classic. All of our athletes who competed last year improved on their previous times. If you are interested in riding next year, visit www.vermont50.com and learn more about the cause and the event. Just make sure you are up for a 6:30 AM start time and a long morning in the saddle.

OMS E-Mail!

After a long summer of building the new website, it is finally up and running. Every student, faculty member and coach in the Okemo Mountain School organization will have an e-mail account in order to make it easier for parents and potential students to contact the school. It will also help with spreading information around the school and community about schedule changes and other last minute changes.

If you are interested in applying to school, or need to get in touch with one of your teachers or coaches from last year, just visit the contacts page of the site to find their new e-mail address. Every E-mail is set up the same way, ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). It is the simplest way we could think of to set up the e-mail addresses so that they would be easy to remember and easy to use. If you have any questions or comments e-mail Joe Sampson at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
